Facial Fat Injection

What is Fat Injection?

Aging is a natural process, this natural process naturally creates scars and changes on our face. The effect of aging manifests itself most prominently in the facial area, while the soft tissues on the face slide down over the bone, while the fat tissue, which acts as support under the skin, loses volume.
Volume loss, wrinkles and changes that occur due to aging and other factors affecting this process can be effectively treated thanks to the developing technology. While interventions can be performed for all kinds of effects of aging, skin rejuvenation applications can also be performed in the face area where the most visible effects occur.
Fat injection, which appears as a natural and effective way of skin rejuvenation in the facial area, is the process of injecting fat into certain areas to provide fullness.
In facial fat injection application, the face is considered as a whole and fat injection can be performed in the cheeks, forehead, cheek-lip line, chin tip, lips and other points deemed necessary.
The fat used for fat injection is taken from the belly, inner legs and buttocks. Special liposuction injectors are used for fat injection.

In which cases is oil injection applied?

Even if we moisturize our skin regularly and effectively, protect it from the sun or take various precautions, time reveals the effects of aging in an observable way. Fat injection is the first step of the procedures that can be performed when the effects of aging manifest themselves observably in the facial area.
We can list some of the conditions that occur in people that make the realization of the fat injection process ideal and effective as follows;

  • Observation of deep lines on the face
  • Depressions appearing on the cheeks and under the eyes

In cases where the lines that occur in the face area due to the effect of aging are too deepened and cause permanent scars and folds on the skin, the effect of the fat injection procedures applied may be less. In this direction, subcutaneous supportive applications are of great importance in facial injection procedures.

How is Facial Fat Injection Applied?

Fat applied to the facial area is usually performed by applying general anesthesia or sedation, and in some cases only by applying local anesthesia.

  • In the process of applying fat injection to the face area, firstly, the fat taken from certain parts of the body is subjected to some processes. These processes are washing and centrifugation.-After washing and centrifugation processes, the fats are transferred to a suitable injector and injected into the areas determined as a result of preliminary evaluations.
  • The probability of survival of fat cells varies depending on the surgical material used during the injection process, the process of removing the fat from the relevant area and performing the transfer process, the nature of the procedures performed on the fat and the transfer.
  • Fat injection applications in the face area are natural and effective methods that do not leave any scars as there is no incision in any area.

What are the Effects of Facial Fat Injection?

The most common area where fat injection application is performed is the face area. We can list the effects of fat injection on the face area as follows;

  • Some of the fat injected into the face area is absorbed by the body and the volume lost due to aging is regained.
  • Fat injection increases collagen production in the body.
  • The fat cells transferred by fat injection act as a kind of stem cell, rejuvenating the skin and giving vitality to the skin.
  • With fat injection, a fuller, brighter and taut appearance is obtained on the skin.
  • An average of 50 - 60% of the fat transferred by injection disappears over time. The remaining part creates a permanent fullness.
  • After the procedure, there may be edema on the face and bruising in the area where fat is taken, these effects of the fat injection process continue for an average of one week or ten days, after which the edema disappears rapidly and fullness appears.
